I am a Retired Indian Naval Officer who superannuated as Commodore
on 30 Nov 20 after putting of 30 years plus of commissioned service. I have
been instrumental in developing teams so as to be highly motivated and deliver
high performance. I have been involved in streamlining the processes,
setting up new establishments, and shaping the strategies. My focus has
been on the long term development by keeping the big picture in mind and I
strive continuously to improve my skill set based on the role at hand and I
always had a quest for learning. As Director of Modernaisation Monitoring
Team, I had an opportunity to hone Planning, Process Improvement and Project
Management/Monitoring skills, which were involved in monitoring the
modernisation process of Indian Naval Warships. I have also conceptualized
and implemented various software pertaining to refit management in Naval
Dockyard in order to improve refit process which resulted in increased
organizational efficiency. Having been the head of a mid-sized technical
organization namely Weapon Equipment Depot, I am well versed with nuances of
procurement, inventory management, administration, and HR aspects of
similarly placed organizations. During my career I have held many
versatile appointments dealing with training, strategies, operations, planning,
maintenance and building assets to heading technical/ support
organizations. I single handedly developed vital and time bound project
“Design and development of algorithm in respect of Data Link system suitable
for multipath channel using SHARC Processor ADSP-21060, for use onboard Indian
Naval Warships, Submarines and Aircrafts” at IIT Delhi. The post of
professor at GVPCEW has added another feather in my cap. As teaching has
been my passion the appointment of Professor at Gayatri Vidya Parishad
College of Engineering of Women has allowed me to live my dream. This
appointment has also taught me the functioning and the administration of the
Engineering Institutions. Subsequently, I have been appointed as Principal
of the College looking after the complete administration of the college.
